Mission Complete: I Visited Sukagawa, The Sister City of M78 Land of Light! ( Ultraman Edition )

I recently took a trip to Sukagawa City, Fukushimathe official sister city of Ultraman’s home, the Land of Light!

It was an incredible pilgrimage, seeing all the monuments of our favorite Ultra Heroes and Kaiju installed throughout the town.
It’s a true must-see for any Tokusatsu fan visiting Japan!

Sukagawa City is known as the birthplace of Eiji Tsuburaya, the “god of special effects,” and the entire community is committed to promoting and developing special effects culture.

This is a place I’ve wanted to visit for many years.

With the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions, Sukagawa City has become a sister city of the M78 Nebula, the Land of Light.

To commemorate this partnership, a virtual town called “Sukagawa City M78 Town of Light” was created.

Once you register as a resident, you can receive a “Town of Light Resident Card” for a fee.
I was issued with a resident card using the resident number I had registered in advance.

The residence card is currently on display in my salon.

It was lunchtime, so I had Kappa Noodles, a Sukagawa specialty.

Sukagawa Kappamen is a noodle dish made with cucumber noodles, characterized by their vibrant light green color, kneaded only with cucumber juice, topped with fresh cucumbers and various other ingredients, and eaten with a special miso sauce dissolved in a unique dashi broth.

“Oh, how delicious! “
“Thank you for the meal.”

As you walk down the main street, you will see familiar statues of various Ultraman characters and monsters on both sides of the road.

Furthermore, there are many Ultraman related items around Sukagawa City Hall.

My collections in my salon

Perhaps the Ultraman figures in the salon have been inspired by this trip and have increased in number a little more…? (lol)

But even heroes get tired!

All that walking, standing, and traveling can leave you with serious back and leg pain.

I learned firsthand that you need a pro to reset your body after an epic journey like that.

That’s why my small clinic near Yurigaoka Station is the perfect Recovery Base for fellow fans !
