The Eiji Tsuburaya Museum celebrates and honors the achievements of Sukagawa native and “God of Special Effects,” Eiji Tsuburaya, while also fostering the next generation of talent.
The museum is divided into four main areas:
“Eiji Tsuburaya Chronicle Box“
“Fantasy Atelier“
“Special Effects Studio“
“Eiji Tsuburaya Network Wall“
I was particularly intrigued by the Fantasy Atelier, which is filled with monster and mecha models.
I was particularly impressed by the original Godzilla suit, created by Sukagawa-based monster sculptor Yuji Sakai.

It’s impressive and cool!!
There were also many monsters that appeared in Toho monster movies.

My collections in my salon

The Eiji Tsuburaya Museum is on the second floor, but the first floor houses the famous Ultra monsters.

Today, I thoroughly enjoyed the world of special effects all day.
However, a two-day trip with a night’s sleep and lots of driving and sightseeing can really put a strain on your legs and back…💦
Even as a chiropractor, I’m keenly aware of the importance of treatments!
Maintaining your body is essential for both enjoying your hobbies to the fullest and treating you in Yurigaoka.

Next time, we’ll be visiting the Sukagawa Special Effects Archive Center.
Stay tuned!
