Brown fatty acids

Our bodies contain two types of fat cells: white fat cells and brown fat cells.

White fat cells are what we generally imagine as fat; they take in triglycerides and sugars and store them in the body as subcutaneous and visceral fat.
They store fat to retain energy, and most of the fat cells in the body are white fat cells.

Brown fat cells, on the other hand, are found only in limited areas such as the neck, shoulder blades, and armpits.
These cells consume stored energy to generate heat.
They increase metabolism and lead to fat burning, so they can be expected to be effective in preventing obesity and weight loss.

However, brown fat cells are most abundant in newborns and decrease as we grow older; they do not increase.
Therefore, it is important to activate the remaining brown fat cells.

There are two ways to activate them: the first is cold stimulation.
Brown fat cells respond to cold, so they are most active during colder periods.

The second point is to loosen the muscles in your neck, shoulders, and shoulder blades to improve blood flow.
